Building on past successes the New Road Angel 2 delivers even more functionality in a very attractive package, form and function are the design criteria for this new model of the very popular GPS safety device that is endorsed by Tiff Needell.
Every day use of Road Angel acts as an extra pair of eyes to keep you alert to approaching danger and improves the safety of every journey. It is also very simple to install and update.
Using the latest global positioning satellite (GPS) and laser detection technology, Road Angel constantly gives you an accurate speed reading and an audible and visible alert as you approach hazardous sections of the road.
Another safety feature is the RescueLoc function which gives you a pinpoint GPS location reading to help direct rescue services to your position. It's a compact unit so it can be mounted on a windscreen and simply plugged into the cigarette lighter. While using the New Road Angel, it has a good sized backlit LCD panel that flashes red on the approach to a hazard while giving verbal warnings of the type of hazard.

Use of the Road Angel is simple both for installation and update purposes. The power to the Road Angel can be directly from your cigarette lighter or can be hard wired to your 12v system. Installing the Road Angel in your vehicle can alert you to accident blackspots as well as speed cameras, helping you to concentrate on reaching your destination safely.
As Road Angel utilises the latest GPS, an accurate speed reading will be displayed on the unit.

Road Angel Frequently Asked Questions
I drove past a Speed Detection van but my Laser Alert did not activate.
A lot of people believe that the police are checking every vehicle as they go by, this is not the case. Guidelines state that an officer can only measure the speed of a vehicle that they believe to be exceeding the posted limit. This is often why a driver with a Laser detector fitted may see a gun or van nearby, but will not get a warning alarm as they drive by.
What is the best position for my LASER ALERT?
Place LASER ALERT in the centre of the windscreen, as low down as possible. Ensure that the flat detector panes are not obstructed by the windscreen wipers.
Does LASER ALERT provide detection from the rear?
Yes, there are two detector planes on the module offering front and rear detection through the rear windscreen.
The view through my rear windscreen is restricted, what can I do?
You can link LASER ALERTs together in a daisy chain. There is a port on LASER ALERT that allows you to plug an additional module into it. You can then place the second module on in the rear windscreen. An additional 2 metre extension cable is available, which provides an overall cable length of 3 metres. Further extension cables can be used as required.
How much warning does LASER ALERT give me?
LASER ALERT can detect a signal beyond the operational range of a laser gun. The further away from the source the more likely you are to detect a signal as the beam emitted is conical and becomes wider over distance. |
